Summary
Shun is a writer living in Okinawa. Recently, he's seen a cute boy sitting on a bench nearby, watching the sea until well past suppertime. He tries to find a way to introduce himself, only to learn he won't be staying much longer.

Seaside Stranger was originally going to be a single volume, so this is technically a one shot, but it has an ongoing multi-volume sequel manga, so it's kind of in a weird place for if it's volume 1 of that. The English version is released by Seven Seas and it originally ran in On Blue.
Recommended For
People who are more into slice of life BL with realistic responses to situations. No one is automatically forgiven for anything. If a character is hurt, they remember it. Things are given more weight than melodrama. I think if you have someone who is like "I don't like yaoi cause it's too unrealistic" this is one you can hand them and you'll probably hear about it forever.

I liked it! I'm glad it got picked up for more cause it did feel a bit constrained by the single volume - there was enough time for problems to build up but not to give satisfying resolutions to them or feel like they'd built on them enough to be satisfied without a resolution. I'll probably slowly pick up more volumes.
